Image projected in Gothenburg to commemorate Ukrainian POW killed by russians in Olenivka

On the night of July 28-29th 2022 an explosion occurred on the territory of the former colony in the occupied Olenivka, Ukraine.
Ukrainian defenders of Azovstal were withdrawn by order in May 2022 and were waiting for exchange. A horrible war crime, a mass murder of disarmed defenders was committed. The heroes of Azov were burned alive - the tragedy that will have no forgiveness.

Ukraine has identified  the bodies of 53 Azov defenders, 130 heroes  were injured. The exact number of the victims is still unknown.

The explosion in Olenivka was a planned terrorist act by russian army to cover up torture and detention conditions of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
One year has passed and neither the UN nor the Red Cross managed to access  Olenivka for thorough investigation. The UN investigative group was created in August 2022 but stopped its mission without any conclusions.

We demand the UN and humanitarian organisations to create a joint investigative group to carry out full investigation followed by clear justice for perpetrators and Russian Federation.

The memory of the fallen heroes is in our hearts, the revenge for them is in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Gothenburg remembers the fallen heroes of Azov and prays for the Ukrainian defenders remaining in russian captivity.
