Betrayal of Ukraine by leader of democratic countries: last warning to Europe

The events on February 28 in the White House were planned to discredit and humiliate not only President Zelensky, but all of Ukraine. The main goal of the Trump's show is to force Ukraine to surrender.

Every day, Trump and his team pour mud on the country and its defenders who have been fighting an overwhelming enemy for three years. And most importantly, the White House lies non-stop - lies about Ukraine, about Europe, about recent allies. They lie about everyone except Putin. Who would lie about a true friend and ideological partner.

Analyzing Trump's actions, it seems that he has already concluded a new pact with Putin to divide the world. The US has stopped supplying paid weapons and intelligence to Ukraine. And the lifting of sanctions and veiled military aid to Moscow seem like logical next steps in rewarding the dictator.

But the betrayal of Ukraine did not begin in February 2025. Back in 1918, US President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed 14 points about the order of the world after World War I. These points supported the independence of many European countries that were part of empires. But they did not apply to Ukraine. Our country was given to Moscow.

In 1991, American President George Bush, from the rostrum of the parliament of then Soviet Ukraine, persuaded Ukrainians to forget about declaring independence. An independent Ukraine did not fit into the geopolitical vision of the United States. Already in 1994, under economic pressure from the United States and Russia, Ukraine signed the Budapest Memorandum and transferred the third nuclear arsenal in the world to Moscow in exchange for guarantees of the inviolability of its borders and sovereignty. For some reason, Russia was not persuaded to get rid of nuclear weapons, but on the contrary, they provided humanitarian aid.

Trump tells Ukrainians: “You lost. You have no cards.” It is you who took these cards from us, and promised help. Now, however, you demand $500 billion for surrender.
During the occupation of Crimea in 2014, Barack Obama, as one of the guarantors of the fulfillment of the obligations of the Budapest Memorandum, did not even want to convene a consultative commission of signatory members. It was as if the document did not exist.

After the full-scale invasion, the United States provided important assistance to Ukraine. This assistance allowed us to stand the ground, and Ukrainians are grateful for that. But we must not forget important facts. First, old weapons were supplied to us at the price of new ones. Second, weapons were always supplied to us with delays and idiotic restrictions on their use. We lost the lives of our soldiers and precious time for maneuvers. Ukrainians are grateful, but they will not kiss the ass of someone who supplied a bit of Cold War-era weaponry.

Ukraine makes Europe stronger by resisting the aggressor, and this hinders Trump's plans for rapprochement with Putin. Therefore, the US information campaign against Ukraine will only intensify. Close your eyes and listen to the official speeches from Washington and Moscow - they are completely identical. We are witnesses to the betrayal of Ukraine.

The situation is difficult but there is hope for common sense. Hope that Europe will finally wake up from its lethargic sleep and take action. The events of recent weeks send a clear message to Europe – the US is no longer its ally. They will betray you just as they betrayed Ukraine.

Therefore, a consolidated position of European countries on security issues is needed if we want to withstand the encroachments of the USA and Russia. A united Europe has all the components to resist anyone: economy, defense industry and technology. But what is missing is the will to act. How many meetings and summits have been held in the last 3 years: 100 or 200? Does anyone remember what these meetings led to?

Europe has no more time for mistakes if it wants to confront external threats. Here are three steps that can change things here and now:

  • Military direction. Confiscate Russian assets in Europe which are approximately 300 billion euros. Create a fund and begin mass production of weapons in Ukraine and Europe. This step will undoubtedly change the situation on the front. For comparison: total US aid to Ukraine over three years is approximately 100 billion dollars. Europe is able to dictate conditions without looking back at the White House.

  • Economic direction. Complete blockade of the Russian shadow fleet in the Baltic Sea. This step will deal a tangible blow to the Russian economy which is already not in the best shape. Currently, Moscow receives extra profits from this fleet and, in addition, uses it as a tool of hybrid warfare against critical EU infrastructure.

  • European interior direction. Worth reviewing the decision-making process of the European Council on security and foreign policy issues. Currently, these decisions require unanimous support by ministers or heads of governments of EU member states, which allows Putin's pawns Orban and Fico to sabotage the activities of the entire union. We need to take this golden share away from the Kremlin, replacing decision-making with a qualified majority.

Fighting courageously for three years, the Ukrainian defenders have opened a window of opportunity for Europe to change and be ready to fight back against the gangster from the Kremlin. We need decisive actions, not a barrage of statements.

European politicians, find the courage to make the right choice – do not let Ukrainian heroes die in vain!

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
